The Institute for Healthcare Communication
The mission of the Institute for Healthcare Communication (formerly the Bayer Institute For Health Care Communication) is "to advance the quality of healthcare by optimizing the experience and process of healthcare communication through four major activities: education, advocacy, research, and partnerships." |
Center for Health Communication
The Center for Health Communication's mission is to mobilize the immense power of mass communication to motivate positive behavior change and contribute to informed public policy. The Center's best-known initiative, the Harvard Alcohol Project, conducted in collaboration with Hollywood studios and leading television networks, demonstrated how a new social concept -- the designated driver -- could be rapidly introduced through mass communication, promoting a new social norm that the driver does not drink. |
